DOWNTOWN CHADBOURNE STREET

SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD
Construction type: Mill and overlay, drainage and reconstruction work
Cost: $7.04 million
Estimated project completion: April 2022
Contractor: Reece Albert Inc.
Current status: Mill and overlay sections complete
Low water crossing near McDonald's: The inside lanes are open to traffic. The outside lanes will remain closed due to additional work before they can open to the public. Striping will be installed at the completion of the project. Open lanes are divided with traffic markers. Sidewalks and channel work are ongoing.
Reconstruction of the Southwest/Southland intersection: The project is divided into quadrants, with three out of four complete. Quadrant 4 is scheduled to be completed by the end of January.
BELL STREET
Construction type: Reconstruction of roadway, relocation/replacement of utilities
Cost:

Current status:
Utilities: Complete
Roadway construction: 90% complete
Curb & sidewalks: Poured up to St. Ann Street.
Paving: Poured up to St. Ann Street. Crews are now working on the north side of Rio Concho Drive.
The original estimated completion date for the entire Bell Street project was set for the end of Dec. 2021 – seven months ahead of schedule. Due to availability of concrete and manpower issues, the roadway project is now expected to be completed in May 2022. This is still within the contracted completion date of the end of July 2022.
MIDDLE CONCHO PARK
Construction type: Drainage culvert replacement
Estimated completion date: Mid-March 2022
Contractor: City of San Angelo
Where: Middle Concho Drive near entrance to Middle Concho Park and Concho Valley Archery Association Archery Range
Current status: During construction, Middle Concho Drive, Middle Concho Park and the archery range will be closed to all vehicular traffic. A walking path will be established around the work zone for access to the park or archery range during the road closure.
N. CHADBOURNE STREET
LOOP 306 N. TO 43RD STREET
Construction type: Reconstruction of roadway
Cost: $4.7 million (estimated)

Awarded by City Council on Sept. 9 to Reece Albert Inc. for $1.4 million. Construction anticipated to begin early 2022.

Construction type: Reconstruction of roadway, drainage work, underground utilities, signalized
intersection upgrades and ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps.
Bids for the project are scheduled to be opened Jan. 18.

Airport Entrance Road - Roadway in front of terminal and at Abell/Hangar Road fully reconstructed; Reary Road entrance to Hangar Road repaved.
Winter Storm Uri Repairs - Roadways that were damaged due to Winter Storm Uri have been repaired.
Oakes Street - Upgrades are complete on the water main along Oakes Street from 4th Street to College Avenue.
