Regardless of the Tom Green County burn ban status, the open burning of construction materials, brush, rubbish, etc. is never permitted inside the city limits. Citations may be issued for illegal burning.
Experience the chills of Fort Concho After Dark! On Oct. 11 & 12, join one of four tour groups and explore the fort’s most haunted buildings. The eerie adventure starts at 8 p.m. from Barracks 1, but tickets must be bought in advance. We'll begin taking tickets at 7:30 p.m. — no sales on the day of the event, so act fast before they sell out! Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for Fort Concho members and free for kids under 6 (though some spooky stories might not be suitable for little ones). Don’t miss your chance for a ghostly good time!
